Aries

IMG-1127

“It’s tougher to be vulnerable than to actually be tough.” Rihanna, having her ascendant, Venus and the Moon, all within 5 degrees of each other in Aries.

May opens up with a waning crescent or “balsamic” moon racing through your defining house of Aries at the beginning of May. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and there will be a festival of planets, with Mercury, Venus and the Moon all present. Saturn will offer his scrutiny, while he’s strong in his home of Capricorn, and he will be casting doubt into your venerated 10th house, with the lingering question: “what are you doing?!!” The month of May will open up with challenges and distractions, but at the very same time, you will be utterly blessed with the philosophical part of your chart, with aspirations from far-off places. Your spiritual mind will be filled with the eternal light of Jupiter, majestic in his home of Sagittarius. This is the part of your chart affecting spirituality, abstract thinking, foreigners and far off places. Mars will be in the sign of Gemini, and both Mars and Mercury are in each other’s houses, which is termed as “mutual reception.” It was thought to merge and dignify both planet’s significations, and being that Mars is your ruling planet, you should feel the warrior’s spirit. This should add a little gumption and speed to your words and expressions of self. Mars is ambition, excitement, adventure, the motivational fire, rage, anger and recklessness. He’s the kid that kicks down all the sandcastles, and that exhilarating surge of electricity you feel when you step in front of a 1000 people, all staring up at you. Mars in Gemini will sharpen your tongue, giving you wit, but Mars lives by the sword, and is famous for his mischief. He is in your third house of ‘communication.’ You will feel an uplifted sense of charm and grace. The waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, is racing through Aries at the beginning of May. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and your instincts will feel highly activated. This is a very fertile moon because Venus is there, and because of the special bond between Mars and Mercury, whom will remain in your defining house of Aries until May 7.

MID MAY: By the second half of the month, both Venus and Mercury are in Taurus, which is Venus’s Realm. Things will be a little less active in Aries, and having Venus in Sensual Taurus will motivate you to want to create, and would be a good time to get back to brass tacks, to produce what you produce. Mars will leave Gemini and he will go into your fourth house of Cancer at around the same time (around May 15). Cancer is in the house representing the foundation of the chart, and is about the life that you’ve made and the family that you came from. This is in an emotional place in your chart, and it opens with the themes revolving around the conflict between what you do at home and what you want to be doing in the world. The full Moon in Scorpio will light light up the sky as Mars goes into Cancer, on the 15th of May, opening up the opposition with Saturn. The presence of Mars in Cancer can stir up the emotional quagmire, while there in the 4th house of ‘parents and family.’ You may feel a conflict between your heart pulling you out into the world, and your practical self pulling you back, towards your home, children and/or the pleasures of daily life. It’s the juxtaposition between passion and practicality, and the balance being grounded into your home and family and feeling like you are part of the greater world around you. At the exact same time as the opposition, Venus and Jupiter will give you a flash of creative inspiration. Both Jupiter and Venus will be in the signs of their dignities, which are places where they have the maximum ability to bestow their significations. It’s notable that Saturn is also in a very dignified part of the chart: his domicile of Capricorn. While Venus is in her home of Taurus until June 10, it would be the perfect time to seek recognition or to try to advance yourself in the professional world, if you can escape the gravity of your home life with Mars there. It’s a creative time, and there’s a lot of good cosmic energy, in spite of the Mars-Saturn conflict. The pendulum may quickly swing back and forth, with challenges and joys, all getting woven into the fabric of life at the same time.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury will enter his home sign of Gemini and will race past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the sun on May 7th, when he was in Taurus. He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky on June 2nd. When Mercury emerges from his hiding place, he’ll be sitting proud on the horizon appearing for the first time as an evening “star.” Low on the horizon, Mercury will seem to have a halo (commonly referred to as a “heliacal rising”). The ancients saw the celestial body as “making his (or her) appearance” after he or she has disappeared under the horizon for an extended period. Because of the elevation in status, his significations are amplified. This will boost your powers of articulation, from May 30 to June 2. Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. This will be a unity of two goddesses, in one of their most dignified places of the chart. Taurus is your second house of ‘money’ and the Moon rules the 4th house of home. Also 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus…treat yourself!) This is a good time to schedule anything involved with communication, to seek recognition and/or to tap your resources.

LATE JUNE: Mars will step out of Cancer and into Leo, at the beginning of July. At almost the same time, Venus will enter Cancer, right as the moon eclipses the Sun, embroiling herself into the narrative. Eclipses are demarcation point between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon. It’s symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. The eclipse may provide a hint or an answer to the struggle between your heart pulling you out into the world, and your practical self pulling back, towards your home and children. Saturn rules the part of your chart where you project your image as well. Saturn and Jupiter will slowly back into their positions, through the Eclipse in July, which will happen directly opposite the chart, in Cancer. The upcoming eclipse in Cancer is symbolic of home, family and the way that you ground yourself, emotionally, because Cancer is the sign of the moon, representing “the mother” or “motherhood.” The moon swiftly drifts through your chart, dropping you hints about the change which is under way. It will be a build up to the Eclipse in early July. Essentially eclipses are new moons, representing the germination of the seed, new beginnings, and are generally about “initiating.” Because the eclipsing new Moon is going to be strong in her home of Cancer, she will lift up the feminine and maternal aspects of your home and family. The moon will be in charge of blocking the Sun’s light, and that dimming of that light acts as a kind of “scene change” happening in that particular place in the chart. Eclipses symbolize a transition from one thing to the next. Saturn’s opposition will lend the topics around what you do in the world, and friendship. The outcome will be in the Moon’s favour because she is elevated by having Venus there with with her. It will be like having two goddess casting shade against the aspects of your life in need of change. When the moon releases from the eclipse, she will meet with Mars, indicating that there could be a transition changing how you see yourself in the world. You may feel like a whole new person in July.

Taurus

IMG-1112

“The only thing better than singing is more singing.” Ella Fitzgerald with her Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus in Taurus.

As a Taurus, you tend to emulate the ‘earth’ aspects of Venus. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. She’s the chills that go up and down your spine or the smell of something wonderful. She’s the cozy warmth of the fire, as you’ve nestled into your favourite chair with a good book on a rainy afternoon. As the month of May Starts off, Venus will be with Mercury in Aries, the house of Mars, which I always image as being like Sparta. At the same time, Mars will be in the sign of Gemini, Mercury’s home. Mercury will be in Mars’s house of Aries. Both Mars and Mercury are in each other’s houses, termed “mutual reception,” it was thought to merge and dignify both planet’s significations. Mars represents the opposite of Venus, and together they represent the full spectrum of your basic humanistic existence. Mars is ambition, excitement, adventure, the motivational fire, rage, anger and recklessness. He’s the kid that kicks down all the sandcastles, and that exhilarating surge of electricity you feel when you step in front of a 1000 people, all staring up at you. With Mercury in the mystical house of secrets, and Mars is the house of money, there could be synergy between the two. The waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, is racing through Aries at the beginning of May. For the first few days in May, your instincts will be highly activated, and there will the feeling of stress in the air. This motivational energy will create a lot of activity. On the 4th, the moon will retreat, away from all that activity, into Taurus, and she will go completely dark, giving you a much needed time to breath.. Finally, a time to relax after leading by your forehead for a few days. By the second half of the month (May 15), both Venus and Mercury are in Taurus, which is Venus’s realm, and you’ll finally feel like you’ve come back to earth.. Venus in Sensual Taurus will be a welcome shift, especially for Tauruses, because Venus is home in Taurus. You may feel a tension that lifts, something you probably didn’t even know you were feeling until now. Venus is home, and it’s good to be home. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic.

MID MAY: With Venus going into Taurus and Mars going into Cancer, right around May 15, you should feel a shift in the atmosphere. Your first house of Taurus, representing ‘self’ or you, will rejoice when Venus enters the house. Taurus represents the material aspects of Venus, with the bull symbolizing the feast and festival. You will shine….and what a welcome change! She’s home until she goes into Gemini on June 9. This will peak when the moon enters Taurus at the end of the month. There will be two goddesses, in their most dignified places of the chart, in the house that represents you. Also 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus…) It’s time to indulge! Treat- yourself because this much cosmic energy deserves some festivity! As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the Sun, May 7th when he was in Taurus.

EARLY JUNE: He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky on June 2nd. When Mercury emerges from his hiding place, he’ll be sitting proud on the horizon appearing for the first time as an evening “star,” and he will seem to have a halo (commonly referred to as a “heliacal rising”). The ancients saw the celestial body as “making his (or her) appearance” after he or she has disappeared under the horizon for an extended period. Because of the elevation in status, his significations are amplified. This is an excellent time to schedule anything involved with communication, especially if “you” are the brand. This would also be a good time to tap your resources. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and to help him oppose Saturn in Capricorn, peaking around June 14. Both Saturn and Mars are in houses that hellenistic astrologers termed as “metacosmos” or between worlds. There may be a shift in your physical and spiritual grounding, like your feet aren’t as firmly in place as they usually are. There may be tension around the work that needs to be done with other people, (either by you or for you ) and there may be an unrequited need for solitude, to do the hard work needed to regenerate and restore your body and soul. Mars and Saturn will cross on June 14th.

LATE JUNE: At the end of the month, Mars will step out of Cancer and into Leo early in July, and Venus will enter the house right as the moon eclipses the Sun. Eclipses are demarcation point between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. This could signify a shift in the wellness of your body and soul, and there will be a scene change in the darkest part of your mind, followed by enlightenment. After the eclipse, you might feel like you’ve been on a boat for a long journey, and are just stepping back on to dry land. All the build up since mid May will finally release. There is an old Chinese proverb: “Before enlightenment, chop wood carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood carry water.”

Gemini

IMG-1105

“I was the little sister that was annoying.” Heidi Klum who has Sun, Mercury right on top of Venus, Saturn and the New Moon in Gemini, all in her very social 11th house.

Your wishes for more “life” in your social life will be answered with a blur of activity, and with your mind getting lost in the sweeping tide of people and interactions. May opens up with a waning crescent or “balsamic” moon racing through your social house of Aries, the home of Mars. Aries will host a festival of cosmic activity, with Mercury, Venus and the Moon all present in the most social part of your chart, energizing friends and children. Love is in the air, especially May 5 & 11. Look to your friends and social groups. Jupiter is majesty, wisdom, luck, philosophy, justice and the magnificence of history. He’s the parking spot that opens up right in front of where you need to go, and the friend who comes through. Jupiter is in his home of Sagittarius, and he’s been sending good fortune to your house of partnership and lifting you up since November of last year. Mars in Gemini, will imprint his significations, giving you boldness and surety. Mars will be strong in his position, with Mars and Mercury both in each other’s houses. This sort of “cosmic house swapping” is termed as “mutual reception.” There’s a merging and dignification of both planet’s better significations. Being that Mercury is your ruling planet, you should feel the warrior’s spirit implanted into your communication. With Mercury’s significations, you will feel an uplifted sense of charm and grace, and your friends will pull you out into the a world, especially since Venus is there with Mercury.

MID MAY: By the second half of the month, things will be a little less active in Aries, the party house, when Venus and Mercury both leave. Venus goes into Sensual Taurus and she will motivate you inwards, with an urge to cleanse your soul, and she will add beauty and grace to the journey. Venus is there to help you tie back to your roots, and will add comfort to warmth to your home and foundation. Mars leaves the house of partners, and moves to the very emotional place of Cancer. Mars will be stimulating your fears around money. There will be oppositions, disagreements, and a lot emotional weight that will stress the mind. Saturn across the chart, will test all the cracks and call out any imposters.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the Sun on May 7th, back when he was in Taurus. He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky on June 2nd. Being that he’s your ruling planet, you will have a special glow to you. From May 30th to June 2nd, the Dark Moon is in Taurus and will be embracing Venus in her own house. Both will rejoice elevating matters of the home. This is an excellent time for real estate. Five of the original Seven celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus). This is also the perfect time to schedule anything involved with communication and home. By the 6th of June, there will be a shift with Mercury entering Cancer, joining with Mars to oppose Saturn in Capricorn. The actualization of Mars-Saturn opposition which has been simmering since mid May, will happen from June 10th to 14th. On June 9th, Venus will enter your defining house of Gemini, adding sweetness to your face and sugar to your speech. Venus will project to the house of children, and up to your place of spiritual connection. When Venus transits your first house (from June 8 to the beginning of July), she brings beauty and grace, lighting you up with a glow. This will peak on July first, when the Moon meets Venus in Gemini. If you can, focus your love towards children or the things and people that you adore at the end of the month. Venus will then follow the Moon into Cancer right as the Moon eclipses the Sun July 2nd, adding to the signification.

LATE JUNE: Venus will enter the house at exactly the same time the moon eclipses the Sun. Venus has just gone under the beams of the Sun where she will change horizons, going from a “morning star” to an “evening star,” just as Mercury did, but she’ll take a lot longer to make the shift. Eclipses are demarcation points between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon, symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. This could signify a shift in your interests, or possibly a change in your financial arrangements. All the tension from the previous months should clear, or reach some kind of resolution. An eclipse in the the second house of money could end a source of income, opening up the opportunity to replace it with a more lucrative one. The Moon is elevated by having Venus there with with her, to cast a nurturing and guiding light towards illuminating your talents.

Cancer

Cancer

“I love my dad, although I’m definitely critical of him sometimes, like when his pants are too tight.” Liv Tyler with her Sun, Mercury and ascendant in Cancer.

Cancer is home to the nurturing mother Moon and she will be very active over the next couple of months as she prepares to eclipse the Sun in early July. The month of May opens with the waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, symbolic of the plant’s release of the seed, as it prepares for renewal and regeneration. For the first few days in May, your instincts will be highly activated, and on high alert. This motivational energy will create a lot of activity. These first few days would be a good time to capitalize on this flash of energy, because this will be a very fertile moon. The moon will only be in Aries for a few days. On the 4th, the moon will retreat, away from all that activity in the top of your chart, into Taurus, and she will go completely dark, and finally, a time to relax after all those surging of emotions and simmering of ideas starting the month off. Using the symbolism from the life cycle of a plant, this represents the germination of the seed.

MID-MAY: By the second half of the month(May 15), both Venus and Mercury are in Taurus, which is Venus’s realm. The theme will shift from ambition and projects to home-life and friends, and having Venus in Sensual Taurus will be a welcome shift. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. Mars is ambition, excitement, adventure, the motivational fire, rage, anger and recklessness. He’s the kid that kicks all the sandcastles down, and that exhilarating surge of electricity you feel when you step in front of a 1000 people, all staring up at you. Venus is happy in Taurus, but Mars will leave Gemini and go into your first house of self(you) in Cancer at around the same time (around May 15). The presence of Mars in Cancer can stir up the emotional quagmire. Because it’s the place of ‘self’ it can also stir the coals and fire up your instincts, giving you the warrior’s spirit. Your emotional need for connectivity will feel intensified. At this time, as Mars enters Cancer, he will start to challenge Saturn opposite the chart. There will be oppositions, disagreements, and a lot emotional weight. Moon and Mercury will follow Mars into Cancer, and then finally, the eclipse will happen there too, in early July. With the presence of Mars in Cancer in the house that defines you, you may feel a conflict between your heart pulling you into your needs as an individual, and your life pulling you back, towards your mate, home and children. At this time, as Mars enters Cancer, he will start to challenge Saturn opposite the chart. Saturn will test all the cracks and call out any imposters. Saturn is home, and he’ll be cleaning house. He’s standing still in the sky as he prepares to go retrograde, and the place that he’s stopping is right on what’s called “the tail of the dragon,” or the south node. The nodes are where the earth’s orbit around the sun and the moon’s orbit around the earth cross. It’s also where solar and lunar eclipses happen. Saturn is standing still in Capricorn, waiting for the eclipse directly across the chart in Cancer in early July. Because he is so close to the “tail of the Dragon,” Saturn will lend his significations to the eclipse. For the next couple of months, simmering on the back burner are the questions:”who are you?” verses “who does your partner want you to be?” Also, the question of who you are at home vs. your professional identity might also in the back of your mind at this time. It’s the juxtaposition between passion and practicality, and the balance being grounded into your self verses the your partnerships, pulling you away. At the exact same time as the opposition, Venus and Jupiter will give you a flash of creative inspiration, because they will be both in their digities (i.e. places where they have the maximum ability to bestow their significations). You have Jupiter camping out in the work part of your chart, giving you good fortune, and wisdom, and Venus in the house of friendship, harmonizing with home. This with Jupiter and Venus so strong, it might be a really good time period to try to get your work in front of people who really matter. It will feel like the last thing you have time for, but during the second part of May, there will be several planets in their digitnies and it will be a very fertile time.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the sun May 7th when he was in Taurus. He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky in the first part of June. Mercury is in his home sign of Gemini and will be directly connected to Jupiter across the chart. Also at exactly the same time, Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. There are two goddesses, in their most dignified place, in the house of love and enjoyment… Treat yourself! Also 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus). This is an excellent time to schedule anything involved with communication. This is also a strong period for tapping your resources. Mercury is peaking in his ability to help you communicate. This, of course, is all happening with the Saturn-Mars opposition between first house Cancer (emotional-self) and (7th house practical-partnership) simmering in the background. You may feel a little more combustible than usual.

LATE JUNE: Venus will enter the house of Cancer in your chart, at exactly the same time that the moon will be eclipsing the sun, and opposite Saturn at the end of June and early July. Venus has just gone under the beams of the Sun and she is close to the eclipse. At the time of the eclipse early July, both Moon and Venus are in the moon’s home of Cancer, making it yet another conference of 2 goddesses, holding court over the eclipse. Because you are a Cancer, the moon represents you in the chart. Usually with eclipses, there is a change and transformation followed by a new beginning. Venus is there, with you, and acting as your guiding light, imprinting upon you, all her powers of beauty, independence, harmonious discord, love, and all the feminine strength of a warrior queen. Eclipses are demarcation point between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon, symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning, in the house of ‘self.’

Leo

IMG-1107

“I have Social Disease. I have to go out every night. If I stay home one night I start spreading rumours to my dogs.” Andy Warhol (Sun, Mercury, ascendant and Venus in Leo).

The month of May will open up with great a great flurry of creativity and passion, and your children, or the spirit of children, will be central to your happiness this month. Like the above quote, there will be a surge of interactions with friends and family. There also may be displacement in the home or your feeling of home, as Mars represents both your home, long distance travel and foreign places, and he is in opposition to Saturn later in the month. It also may simply be an indication of inner conflict singing to the tune of: “is this my home?” The next couple of months will fire your passion, and if you can find time to be creative, you’ll produce something extraordinary. By the time the full solar eclipse in Cancer comes in early July, you might feel shift under foot, like you’ve lost your grounding or foundation. Having control of the situation is essential to any Leo, and there might be a general tension and uneasiness until the eclipse passes in July.

May opens up with a waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, thought to take on the symbolism of the plant’s release of the seed as it prepares for renewal and regeneration is racing through Aries at the beginning of May. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and there will be a festival of planets, with Mercury, Venus and the Moon all present. It will be a lot of back and forth between your obligations, your social life and your family. Mercury will go into Taurus and dash under the beams of the Sun, a phase thought to be associated with periods of time where information might not be so forthcoming. Mercury has gone under the horizon around May 6th, and will be hiding with the sun until next month. Neptune in Pisces overcoming Mars in Gemini might be adding a mist in the contract section of your chart. Read the fine print.

MID MAY: Your talents will all light up as Venus goes into sensual Taurus to meet Mercury. She is strong in her home and activated by being at the high point of your chart. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. Now is a really excellent time to seek recognition. While Venus will be spreading love and goodness in the work you do, the presence of Mars in Cancer can stir up the emotional quagmire. Mars is ambition, excitement, adventure, the motivational fire, rage, anger and recklessness. He’s the kid that kicks down all the sandcastles, and that exhilarating surge of electricity you feel when you step in front of a 1000 people, all staring up at you. At this time, as Mars enters Cancer, he will start to challenge Saturn opposite the chart. Mars will stir the emotional coals, which may feel a little intense at times. At the exact same time, Venus and Jupiter will give you a flash of creative inspiration and a surge of esteem about the work you’ve done. Social networks will be more receptive than usual, and it could be a profitable time to blend friendship and career. Between the Mars-Saturn opposition and the wonderful placement of Jupiter and Venus, the pendulum of challenges and joys, may quickly swing back and forth, all getting woven into the fabric of life at the same time.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the Sun, on May 6th when he was in Taurus. He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky on June 2nd. This is happening in your house of friendship and social groups, and will be connected to your house of children and love. This would be a great time to get out and shine, like a Leo is meant to.

May 30 to June 2. Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. There will be two goddesses, in their most dignified place of the chart, in the house representing your career and honours. Also 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus). This is an excellent time to schedule anything involved with communication, especially involving what you do. This would also be a good time to tap your resources. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and to help him in his opposition to Saturn in Capricorn, peaking around June 14.

LATE JUNE: At the end of the month, Mars will step out of Cancer and into Leo, around July 23, and Venus will enter the house of Cancer right as the moon eclipses the Sun. Eclipses are demarcation point between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon, symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. This could signify a shift in the wellness of your body and soul, and the seeking of enlightenment. There will be a scene change in the darkest part of your mind. After the eclipse, you might feel like you’ve been on a boat for a long journey, and are just stepping back on to dry land. All the build up since mid May will finally release. As the old Chinese proverb goes: “Before enlightenment, chop wood carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood carry water.”

Virgo

IMG-1124

“People always underestimate me. But if you stick around long enough, act out of conviction, and try to be honourable in everything you do, good things will come to you.” Salma Hayek with Mercury, Sun, Uranus and Pluto all in Virgo.

Virgos are famously perfectionistic, but what people don’t understand, is that it’s not so much about perfectionism as it is about the need Virgos have for purity. It’s more about having the mental agility to imagine how things should be, and it’s this quest for the ideal as imagined in the mind of a Virgo that can be misconstrued as perfectionism. Around May 6 your ruling planet Mercury, is in Aries, the home of Mars. As May begins, Mars will be transiting the air sign of Gemini, Mercury’s home. Both planets are in each other’s houses, and it was termed “mutual reception,” with the significations of both planets to be merged and lifted up. Mars is ambition, excitement, adventure, the motivational fire, rage, anger and recklessness. He’s the kid that kicks down all the sandcastles, and that exhilarating surge of electricity you feel when you step in front of a 1000 people, all staring up at you.

Mars in Gemini will sharpen your tongue, giving you wit, but Mars lives by the sword. He is in your tenth house of ‘career and professional aspirations.’ and he’s opposite Jupiter in your fourth house of ‘home and family.’ With Mercury’s significations, and with Venus in the house with him, this would be an excellent time to improve your professional situation. Jupiter is in his home of Sagittarius, and he’s been in your 4th house adding a lofty air to your home, family and possibly your partner if you have one. Jupiter has been there since November of last year. He is majesty, wisdom, luck, philosophy, justice and the magnificence of culture. He’s the parking spot that opens up right in front of where you need to go, the friend who comes through and the acceptance letter filled with praise and hope. This opposition between Mars and Jupiter actualizes on the 5th of May and should clear shortly after. It may be the push and pull between what you do in the world, your ambitions, and the life you are trying to carve out for your home and family. The world might be pulling you away from your former social foundation and too someplace new.

MID MAY: With Venus going into Taurus and Mars going into Cancer, right around May 15, you should feel a shift in the atmosphere. Your 3rd house of extended family and neighbours (virtual and otherwise), of Taurus will rejoice when Venus enters the house. Taurus represents the material aspects of Venus, with the bull symbolizing the feast and festival. This would be an excellent time for spiritual growth, and for bonding with your children or other such loved one over something cultural or foreign. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. Venus will add a special touch of love and grace, adding beauty to your life in the part of the chart where you do your deepest thinking. Towards the end of the month, Saturn is in his home of Capricorn and connected to Venus is in her home of Taurus until she goes into Gemini on June 9, and this will be a glorious time for anything cultural or spiritual with your children. It would also be a wonderfully creative and fertile time. This will peak when the moon enters Taurus at the end of the month.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the sun May 7th when he was in Taurus. He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky on June 2nd. Because of the elevation in status, his significations are amplified there at the very top of your chart, and he will be at his strongest, May 30th to June 2nd.

Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be both the home of Venus and the place where the Moon is exalted. Two goddesses, in their most dignified places, in the house representing abstract thought, faith and far off distant places. Also 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus…treat yourself!). This is an excellent time for a presentation of any kind or to schedule anything involved with communication, especially involving your career. This would be a good time to seek recognition and to tap your resources. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and he will help him to oppose Saturn in Capricorn. Mars and Saturn will be drawing battle lines in the part of your chart where your friends are. It’s also where you relax and enjoy life, which you’d probably like to be doing more of. This will be building up to when Mars and Saturn finally cross on June 14th. It will be at almost the exact spot where the eclipse will happen the following month.

This could signify a scene change in what your values are and how you project them. It could be the point that you realize that you are changing, and social needs will change with it. When you allow yourself to embrace the new people in your life, the problems you’ve had with people from your past will fade away.

Libra

IMG-1122

“Oh, do not ask, “What is it?” Let us go and make our visit. In the room the women come and go, talking of Michelangelo.” T.S. Eliot, having his Sun, Mercury, Venus and his Ascendant, all in Libra.

As a Libra, you tend to emulate the ‘air’ aspects of Venus, always on the quest for the lovely exchange of forward thinking words and ideas, embracing your most human virtues around graceful conversation. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. She’s the chills that go up and down your spine, and the wonderful jolt of the soul when your eyes lock with another in mutual admiration from across the room. As the month of May starts off, Venus will be with Mercury in Aries, the house of Mars, whom will be in Mercury’s home, Gemini. Both Mars and Mercury are in each other’s houses, which is termed as “mutual reception,” and it was thought to merge and dignify both planet’s significations. He is in your ninth house of spirituality, deep thinking and epic voyages, real and imagined. With Mercury in the house of partnership, and with Venus in the house with him, this would an excellent time for anything cultural with your partner.

If you don’t have a partner (and assuming you want one), you can look for “the one” in pursuit of ninth house activities. Venus and Mercury are in the part of your chart that embodies the concept of ‘partnership’ and your one-to-one time will feel an uplifted sense passion and grace. The waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, is racing through Aries at the beginning of May. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and there will be a festival of planets, with Mercury, Venus and the Moon all present. The Balsamic phase of the moon is thought to take on the symbolism of the plant’s release of the seed as it prepares for renewal and regeneration. Your instincts will feel highly activated. This is a very fertile moon, because of Venus being there, and because of that special bond between Mars and Mercury, mentioned above. While the Moon is in Aries, it will be more getting out and doing things together. You and your partner may feel like you are both embarking on a real life adventure, even if it’s just to the plant nursery. On the 4th, the moon will retreat, away from all that activity, into Taurus, and she will go completely dark, giving you a much needed time to breath. Finally, a time to relax after leading by your forehead for a few days.

MID MAY: By the second half of the month (May 15), both Venus and Mercury are in Taurus, which is Venus’s realm. Venus in Sensual Taurus will be a welcome shift, especially for Libra, as both Libra and Taurus are considered to be her home signs. When Venus is in Taurus, Libra also rejoices. As a Libra yourself, you may feel a tension that lifts, something you probably didn’t even know you were feeling until now. Venus is home, and it’s good to be home. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. Mars will leave Gemini and go into your tenth house of Cancer at around the same time (around May 15). The full Moon in Scorpio will light light up the sky as Mars goes into Cancer, on the 15th of May, opening up and illuminating the opposition with Saturn. Cancer is the sign holding the highest point of your chart, which signifies what you do in the world. This is in an emotional place in your chart. The presence of Mars in Cancer can stir up the emotional coals in the tenth house where you aspire. The Mar-Saturn opposition could be about what you do at home verses what you want to do in the world, and this theme will carry over into the eclipse in early July. You may feel a conflict between your heart pulling you out into the world, and your practical self pulling back, towards your home and children.

At this time, as Mars enters Cancer, he will start to challenge Saturn opposite the chart. There will be oppositions, disagreements, and a lot emotional weight. Saturn will test all the cracks and call out any imposters, which may feel a little intense at times. It’s the juxtaposition between passion and practicality, and the balance being grounded into your home and family and feeling like you are part of the greater world around you. At the exact same time as the opposition, Venus and Jupiter will give you a flash of creative inspiration and a surge of friendly interactions. Both Jupiter and Venus will be in the signs of their dignities, and Saturn is in his domicile of Capricorn, also a very dignified part of the chart. These are places where the planets have the maximum ability to bestow their significations. While Venus is in Taurus, her home, until June 10, it will be the perfect time for a small house project, hunting for antiques or anything relating to Venus topics and real estate, or home. Generally, it can be a profitable time for real estate. In tandem to this dusting of good fortune, Mars will be challenging Saturn, and the pendulum may quickly swing back and forth, with challenges and joys all getting woven into the fabric of life.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the Sun on May 6th, back when he was in Taurus. He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky on June 2nd. When Mercury emerges from his hiding place, he’ll be sitting proud on the horizon, appearing for the first time as an evening “star.” He will seem to have a halo (commonly referred too as a “heliacal rising”). The ancients saw the celestial body as “making his (or her) appearance” after he or she has disappeared under the horizon for an extended period. Because of the elevation in status, his significations are amplified. This will boost your powers of articulation in the house representing abstract thought, faith and far off distant places, from May 30th to June 2nd. Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. Here are two goddesses, in their most dignified places, and 5 of the 7 celestial bodies in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus…treat yourself!) This is a good time to schedule anything involved with communication, and to seek recognition. If you can, tap your resources, because if you meet luck at the halfway point, he’ll happily deliver. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and will both oppose Saturn in Capricorn. The world beckons, but life will try and hold you back.

LATE JUNE: At the end of the month, Mars will step out of Cancer and into Leo early in July, and Venus will enter the house right as the moon eclipses the Sun. Eclipses are demarcation points between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon, symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. The eclipse may provide a hint or an answer to the struggle between your heart pulling you out into the world, and your practical self pulling you back, towards your home and children.

Scorpio

IMG-1111

“I’m a fountain of blood, in the shape of a girl.” “I’m a whisper on the water, secret for you to hear.” Björk having Moon, Neptune, Sun and her ascendant all in Scorpio.

Scorpio is the home of Mars, representing the emotional aspects of the god of war, with his emotional intensity and passion. Scorpios are famous for having an emotional depth, and sometimes, the deeper it goes, the darker it gets. It will be from those depths from which you draw your inspiration. Creatively, it’s a treasure trove, but it can also be an emotional quagmire. There is a sensitivity and emotional awareness that goes very deep with scorpios. The next couple of months will fire your passion, and if you can find time to be creative, you’ll produce something extraordinary. By the time the full solar eclipse in Cancer comes in early July, you might feel shift under foot, like you’ve lost your grounding or foundation. There also may be displacement in the home or your feeling of home. Mars represents, long distance travel and foreign places, and he will be in opposition to Saturn, representing home and extended family later in the month. It also may simply be an indication of inner conflict singing to the tune of: “is this my home?” Feeling emotionally connected is essential to a Scorpio.

May opens up with a waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, thought to take on the symbolism of the plant’s release of the seed as it prepares for renewal and regeneration is racing through Aries at the beginning of May. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and there will be a festival of planets, with Mercury, Venus and the Moon all present in your house of ‘work.’ It will be a lot of activity and fire around the routine of your day, and behind the scenes of your life. For the first few days in May, your instincts will be highly activated, and on full alert. On the 4th, the moon will retreat, away from all that activity, into Taurus, and she will go completely dark, giving you a much needed time to breath… Finally, a time to relax after leading by your forehead for a few days. Mercury will go into Taurus and dash under the beams of the sun, which is thought to be associated with periods where information is not so forthcoming. Mercury has gone under the horizon around May 6, and will be hiding with the sun until next month. By the second half of the month (May 15), both Venus and Mercury are in Taurus, which is Venus’s realm, and you’ll finally feel like you’ve come back to earth.. Venus in Sensual Taurus will be a welcome shift, because Venus is home in Taurus, giving a sumptuous vibration to your house of partnership. You may feel a tension that lifts, something you probably didn’t even know you were feeling until now. Venus is home, and it’s good to be home. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic, perfect for having Venus in the house of partnership.

MID MAY: By the second half of the month, both Venus and Mercury are in Taurus, which is Venus’s Realm. Things will be a little less active in Aries, and having Venus in Sensual Taurus will motivate you to want to luxuriate with your partner. Mars will leave Gemini and he will go into your ninth house of Cancer at around the same time (around May 15). Cancer is in the house representing your spirituality, and is where you house your values and do your deepest thinking. This is in an emotional place in your chart, and it opens with the themes revolving around the conflict between what you do at home and what you want to be doing in the world. The full Moon in Scorpio, your signature sign, will light light up the sky as Mars goes into Cancer, on the 15th of May, opening up the opposition with Saturn. The presence of Mars in Cancer can stir up the emotional quagmire, while there in the 9th house.

This would be a great time to tap your resources from May 30 to June 2. Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. There will be two goddesses, in their most dignified place of the chart, in the house representing partnership.

Sagittarius

IMG-1120

“Excuse me while I kiss the sky.” Jimmy Hendrix who has Mercury, Sun, Venus and his ascendant in Sagittarius.

You have probably felt strong in who you are and where you have come from, because your ruling planet, Jupiter is in his home of Sagittarius, and he’s been in your first and defining house since November of last year. Jupiter is majesty, wisdom, luck, philosophy, justice and the magnificence of the divine. He’s the parking spot that opens up right in front of where you need to go and the acceptance letter filled with praise and hope. As May begins, Mars will be transiting the air sign of Gemini. Mars is ambition, excitement, adventure, the motivational fire, rage, anger and recklessness. He’s the kid that kicks down all the sandcastles, and that exhilarating surge of electricity you feel when you step in front of a 1000 people, all staring up at you. Mars will sharpen your tongue, giving you wit, but Mars lives by the sword. He is in your seventh house of “partnership” and he’s opposite Jupiter in your first house of “self.”

This opposition between Mars and Jupiter actualizes on the 5th of May and should clear shortly after. At the same time, Aries, your 5th house of children and/or leisure, will be teaming with cosmic activity. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and there will be a festival of planets, with Mercury, Venus and the the waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, all in the same house. Friends and family, and your children, or the spirit of children, will be central to the narrative of at the beginning of this month. You will be utterly blessed with the part of your chart representing your fire, and charisma, which will be in shining in full glory as Jupiter connects with Venus and Mercury, from Sagittarius to Aries, fire sign to fire sign. Much of the positive activity is in the social part of your chart. May 14 will be an excellent night for you and your partner to share the love, with a blessing from Venus to Mars. (good night for a babysitter).

MID MAY: By the 15th of May the mood changes and the energy shifts. Venus goes into her home of Taurus and Mars into Cancer. Venus into Taurus gives us all the best things Venus has to offer, in your house of craftsmanship. You may feel inspired to add Venusian touches to everything you do. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. These significations will be strong while Venus is in Taurus, adding soul to your work. Mars leaves the house of partners, and moves to the sensitive and emotional place of Cancer. Mars will be stimulating your fears around money. There will be oppositions, disagreements, and a lot emotional weight that will stress the mind, on the themes stemming from these fears. Mars will be opposing Saturn across the chart, to the part of the chart where resources are shared with your partner, business or personal. It could be the stress of a contract dispute, or you could be plagued with annoying cash flow issues. This aspect will simmer until early July, when a full solar eclipse happens at the same place in the chart.

The Dark Moon is in Taurus, embracing Venus in her own house, and both will rejoice continuing the theme of elevated craftsmanship. 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus). This is an excellent time to schedule anything involved with communication, and it could be very strong day to advance your Career. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and oppose Saturn in Capricorn, and the actualization of the Mars-Saturn opposition which has been simmering since mid May, will happen around June 10th t0 14th. On a more positive note, Venus and Jupiter give you a flash of creative inspiration. This could be a very productive time to align the depths of your soul with your creativity as some form of outward manifestation.

LATE JUNE: Mars will step out of Cancer and into Leo, early in July, and Venus will enter the house at exactly the same time the moon eclipses the Sun. Venus is close to the eclipse in Cancer, and she has just gone under the beams of the Sun as she changes horizons, just as Mercury did, but she’ll take a lot longer to make her shift to an “evening star.” Now Venus, the goddess of love is with the Moon, goddess of motherhood and intuitive thought, in her home sign of Cancer. The moon will block the Sun’s light, literally casting shade, and the Sun, Venus and the Moon are opposite too Saturn in Capricorn. Eclipses are demarcation points between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon, symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. The flow of the energy is from one money house to another. The direction of the energy flows is from the part of your chart indicating what you produce yourself to the part of your chart where you share resources, the product of partnerships. This is where Venus will be and the Moon will be eclipsing the Sun. It’s Cancer the moon’s home, and one interpretation would be that having both Venus and the Moon strong in her home will result in a new unknown source of income, which will be start at around the eclipse. The fact that Saturn is opposite the chart, indicates that the catalyst would be some sort of financial difficulty. The house of shared resources, which is an indication of the product of a partnership, is lifted up by Venus and the Moon, and the eclipse will emphasize a shift from the individual to the pair, and with the strength of the goddesses, all the build up from the past couple of months will release. If you loosen your grip and release what’s in your hand, you can be free to hold something else.

Capricorn

IMG-1114

“When will someone open a sunglasses store called fifty shades of shade?” Zooey Deschanel with her Sun, Mercury, Moon and her ascendant all within 5 degrees of one another in Capricorn.

Saturn has been in your defining house of Capricorn since the end of 2017. Because he is so close, Saturn will lend his significations to the eclipse. For the next couple of months, simmering on the back burner are the questions:”who are you?” verses “who does your partner want you to be?” Also, the question of who you are at home vs. your professional identity might also in the back of your mind at this time. At the same time, Aries, your 4th house of home and family, will be teaming with cosmic activity. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and there will be a festival of planets, with Mercury, Venus and the the waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, all in Aries at the same time. Things will quiet down and you will have the dolce vita, when Venus goes into Taurus.

MID MAY: With Venus going into Taurus and Mars going into Cancer, right around May 15, you should feel a shift in the atmosphere. Your 5th house of children, Taurus will rejoice when Venus enters the house. Taurus represents the material aspects of Venus, with the bull symbolizing the feast and festival. Anything to do the with joy of children will help to make you feel human again, and if you like to cook, your ambitions in the kitchen will pay off while Venus is in the house. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. She’s that special touch of love and grace, adding beauty to your life, and she’s home until she goes into Gemini on June 9. The fifth house is called “Venus’s Joy” because Venus rejoices in the fifth house. This will peak when the moon enters Taurus at the end of the month. At the same time Venus enters Taurus, around May 15, Mars will leave Gemini, the house of work and health, and moves to the very emotional place of Cancer, representing ‘partnership,’ opening up the Mars-Saturn opposition. This will actualize around June 10 to 14, and marking off the place where the Sun will be eclipsed by the Moon in early July. There will be oppositions, disagreements, and a lot emotional weight that will stress the mind, on the themes stemming from partnership. Saturn, representing you, will make you feel like you need to test all the cracks and call out any imposters. Capricorns are famous for their pragmatism, but Mars may be stirring the emotional coals and you may feel a little vulnerable. This aspect will simmer until early July, when a full solar eclipse happens at the same place in the chart. For the next month or so, it will go back and forth, between challenges and joys, all getting woven into the tapestry of life at the same time.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the Sun, on May 7th when he was in Taurus. He’s so close to the sun that we won’t see him again until he appears in the evening sky on June 2nd. Because of the elevation in status, his significations are amplified from May 30th to June 2nd. Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. There are two goddesses, in their most dignified place, in the house of love and enjoyment… Treat your self! Also 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus). This is an excellent time to schedule anything involved with communication, and it could be very strong day to advance your Career using your own image, or “you” as the brand. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and oppose Saturn in Capricorn, and the actualization of Mars-Saturn opposition, simmering since mid May, will peak around June 14. This is the conflict between “partnership” and “self” discussed earlier.

Saturn rules the part of your chart representing “self” or “you.” The upcoming eclipse in Cancer is symbolic of home, family and the way that you ground yourself, emotionally, because Cancer is the sign of the moon, representing “the mother” or “motherhood,” Essentially eclipses are new moons, representing the germination of the seed, new beginnings, and are generally about “initiating.” Because the eclipsing new Moon is going to be strong in her home of Cancer, she will lift up the feminine and maternal aspects of your relationships. The moon will be in charge of blocking the Sun’s light, and that dimming of that light acts as a kind of “scene change” happening in that particular place in the chart. Eclipses symbolize a transition from one thing to the next. Saturn’s opposition will lend the topics around who you are, what you do and your partnership. The outcome will be in the Moon’s favour because she is elevated by having Venus there with with her, and the general flow of the energy will flow towards the eclipse in your partnership house. It will be like having two goddess casting shade against the aspects of your life in need of change. You may feel like a whole new person in July.

Aquarius

IMG-1103

“The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between.” Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with Saturn, Sun, Mercury and Venus, all in Aquarius.

Jupiter has been in your house of friendship since last November. He is in his home of Sagittarius, and he’s been in your 11th house of friendship since November of last year. This is a part of the chart where he rejoices. Jupiter is majesty, wisdom, friendship, luck, philosophy, justice and anything to do with abundance. He’s the parking spot that opens up right in front of where you need to go and the friend who comes through. Mars in Gemini will sharpen your tongue, giving you wit, but Mars also lives by the sword. He is in the 5th house of children in opposition to Jupiter whom is firing up the most social part of the chart. This opposition between Mars and Jupiter, could be interpreted as push and pull, between having your social life and needing to be quiet at home. It actualizes on the 5th of May and should clear shortly after. The 5th house will be in the spotlight again when Mercury “makes his appearance” a t the end of the month. Saturn is one sign over in Capricorn, in your mystical 12th house. You may have a desire for soul purification and solitude. You’ll be pulled towards the social, but your urges will be going inward. There will be a welcome shift mid month, away from all this activity, when Venus goes into Taurus, for some lovely down time to focus on your home for some private family time, and finally some time for yourself and your own enlightenment.

MID MAY: With Venus going into Taurus and Mars going into Cancer, right around May 15, you should feel a shift in the atmosphere. Your 4th house of home, Taurus will rejoice when Venus enters the house. Taurus represents the material aspects of Venus, with the bull symbolizing the feast and festival. Anything luxurious and domestic will shine, and what a welcome change. If you like to cook, your ambitions in the kitchen will pay off while Venus is in the house. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. She’s that special touch of love and grace, adding beauty to your life, and she’s home until she goes into Gemini on June 9. This will peak when the moon enters Taurus at the end of the month. At the same time Venus enters Taurus, around May 15, Mars will leave Gemini, the house of Children and the joys of life, and moves to the very emotional place of Cancer.

It is here, in the behind the scenes, daily routine, part of the chart, where Mars begins his opposition to Saturn. Both Saturn and Mars are in houses that hellenistic astrologers astrologers termed as “metacosmos” or between worlds. It could be a state of travel, either real or in your mind. There may be a shift in your physical and spiritual grounding, like your feet aren’t as firmly in place as they usually are. There may be tension around the work that needs to be done with other people, (either by you or for you ) with the undertone of not feeling totally in control of the situation, or there may be an unrequited need for solitude, to do the hard work needed to regenerate and restore your body and soul. Mars and Saturn will cross on June 14th. The joys and challenges are all being woven into the tapestry of life. At the same time as the Mar-Saturn opposition, Venus and Jupiter are bringing beauty and wisdom from your house of children and joy to your house of friendship. This would be a good time to shop for a new look, and retreat into the pleasures of life and home.

This is happening in your fifth house of children, and will be connected to your house of friendship. From May 30 until June 2, both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. That’s two goddesses, in their most dignified place, in the house representing your home and family. Also (if that’s not enough for you) 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus…treat yourself!) This is an excellent time to schedule anything involved with communication, especially involving home and children. This would also be a good time to tap your resources. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and help him to oppose Saturn in Capricorn, (12th house to 6th house), which will peak around the 14th of June.

LATE JUNE: Mars will step out of Cancer and into Leo, at the beginning of July. At almost the same time, Venus will enter Cancer, right as the moon eclipses the Sun, embroiling herself into the narrative. Eclipses are demarcation points between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. This could signify a shift in the wellness of your body and soul, and there could be a scene change in the darkest part of your mind, where you seek enlightenment. After the eclipse, you might feel like you’ve been on a boat for a long journey, and are just stepping back on to dry land. All the build up since mid May will finally release. There is an old Chinese proverb: “Before enlightenment, chop wood carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood carry water.”

“My real fantasy if I was to drop out would be to live in a mobile home and be a hippie and drive around festivals and have millions of children, children with dreadlocks and nose rings, and play the flute.” Rachel Weisz with her Sun, Mercury, Venus and the north node all in Pisces.

You have probably felt strong in who you are and where you have come from, because your ruling planet, Jupiter is in his home of Sagittarius, where he’s been lifting your talents into the world, in your venerated 10th house. He’s been there since November of last year. Jupiter is majesty, wisdom, luck, philosophy, justice and the magnificence of wealth. He’s the parking spot that opens up right in front of where you need to go, and the friend who comes through. He’s the acceptance letter filled with praise and hope, and he represents any kind of abundance. As May begins, Mars will be transiting the air sign of Gemini, opposing Jupiter from across the chart. He is in your fourth house of ‘home and family’ and in his opposition to Jupiter in your tenth house of ‘home.’ You will feel Mars pulling you away from ‘career and professional aspirations’ towards home, family and/or your parents. The push and pull between what you do in the world verses the life you are trying to carve out in your home, will be a theme in the upcoming couple of months. Your current life may be pulling you away from your former social foundation. The waning crescent or “balsamic” moon, is racing through Aries at the beginning of May. Aries signifies motivation by fire, and there will be a festival of planets, with Mercury, Venus and the Moon all present, with demands on your talents from all directions. There is a special bond between Mars and Mercury, as they each occupy each other’s home signs. From this will be a wonderful merging of your talents and interests and your familial roots while Mercury is in Aries until May 7th. This could also translate into some sort of mutually beneficial aspect between your money, or your talents and your home and/or family. Jupiter will be helping this as well, with your fire signs all lighting up, which in your chart will be based on what you do or want to do professionally.

MID MAY: With Venus going into Taurus and Mars going into Cancer, right around May 15, you should feel a shift in the atmosphere. Taurus the bull symbolizes the feast and festival. With Venus there, lighting up one of her home signs in the 3rd house of communication with a special emphasis on relatives and neighbours, it will be an excellent time for networking towards a profitable end. Venus represents your femininity, harmonious interactions, beauty, sensual pleasures, relaxation and everything artistic. Filtered through Pisces, dreamy and emotional, Venus will add a special touch of love and grace, adding beauty to your life, and she’s in her home until she goes into Gemini on June 9. At the same time Venus enters Taurus, around May 15, Mars will leave Gemini, and move to the very emotional sign of Cancer, the home of the Mother. Mars and Saturn will be drawing battle lines in the part of your chart where you relax and enjoy life. It’s the social part of your chart. This will be building up to when Mars and Saturn finally cross on June 14th. This also marks out the spot where the eclipse will happen. The themes: friendship, children, and the things you love.

EARLY JUNE: As we get into the end of May, Mercury enters his home sign of Gemini and goes past the Sun. He’s been invisible since he went under the beams of the sun May 7th when he was in Taurus. The ancients saw the celestial body as “making his (or her) appearance” after he or she has disappeared under the horizon for an extended period. Because of the elevation in status, his significations are amplified. This is happening in your fourth house, and will be echoing up to Jupiter, lending wisdom to your increased powers of articulation, and would be an excellent time to seek recognition. May 30 to June 2. Both the Balsamic Moon and Venus are meeting in Taurus, which is considered to be the place where the Moon is exalted. That’s two goddesses, in their most dignified places, in the house representing communication, continuing the theme from Mercury. Also 5 of the 7 celestial bodies are in their dignities (Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon is exalted in Taurus…treat yourself!) This is an excellent time for a career based presentation or to schedule anything involved with communication, especially involving your home, family and your roots. This would also be a good time to tap your resources. By the 6th of June, Mercury will enter Cancer with Mars and he will help him to oppose Saturn in Capricorn, peaking around June 14. This could be conflict around friendship and children. If you don’t have children, there could be the classic opposition between your friends and your love interest, with both pulling you away from the other.

LATE JUNE: At the end of the month, Mars will step out of Cancer and into Leo, around July 23, and Venus will enter the house right as the moon eclipses the Sun. Eclipses are demarcation point between the sections of your life, acting as an intensified New Moon symbolic of a change followed by a new beginning. This could signify a scene change in what your values are and how you project them. It could be that you realize that you are changing, and your social landscape is following suit.
