What is the full name and ages of your children?

Chloe Victoria Chen, 4 years
Colette Cali Chen, 5 months

Could you describe yourself in one sentence?

I’m dedicated to my family, my career and to the ability to reach such a vast amount of different women.

What was your life like, before motherhood?

Before motherhood I found myself giving my heart and soul to chasing this dream…a career that turned into a movement.

Can you tell us about your newly launched clothing collection?

The theme of my newest collection is “blooming,” so I wanted to design a collection that was soft and feminine, but at the same time empowering, with a few masculine touches. The theme felt fitting given the Spring timing of the launch, but also felt representative of the recent milestones in my life, especially now being a new mom to two young girls. My signature style has always been very feminine – and while my style has evolved over the years – I found it coming full circle once I become a mother. It really made me embrace my femininity and my new curves.

This collection has 28 styles featuring pastel spring tones and neutrals, light fabrics, and flattering silhouettes. You’ll see everything from cropped v-necks, camis, buttoned dresses, skirts, high-waisted trousers, and pinstripe shorts and blazers.

What inspired you to design?

Lots of things inspire me! Spring is my absolute favorite season for fashion so my new collection really includes everything you need to build out the perfect Spring wardrobe. This collection is really representative of my personal style, but I also also made sure to listen to my followers feedback. They asked for more skirts and dresses, so we made sure to expand those styles – I think they are really going to love it.

How has life and work been since becoming a mommy of two?

I have a better grasp of what I value in my life. This has allowed me to prioritize the things that matter to me.

What has been the most difficult part?

The most difficult part has been getting Chloe to understand why a lot of my attention needs to go to Colette at this stage of her life. For example, I had to bring Colette with me to Paris Fashion Week because I’m still in the breastfeeding stage.

Did you experience postpartum depression?

Yes!

You feel most beautiful when?

My idea of beauty has changed quite a bit over the years. I used to die over shoes or perfect fitted jeans. Now it’s the quiet moments that make me feel most beautiful, but I also feel amazing after a blowout and a massage!

What was your favourite skincare product while pregnant?

I used a lot of Tata Harper, Biossance, and Elemis products

And what currently is your favourite skincare product?

Currently I am loving the brand Elemis

Who are your favourite muse to follow on Instagram?

I love Serena Williams!

When you get a quiet moment, what do you like to do the most?

I love quiet moments – that’s the time I can take advantage and catch up on sleep! For example, last year when I went on vacation to Hawaii with my family, all the adults took care of Chloe for a day so I could have some quiet time. I ended up falling asleep all day in a hammock!

Who is your Mother Muse?
