The inspiration behind this series is using the archetype of the Virgin Mary and goddesses to celebrate motherhood and breastfeeding in spaces that sometimes women feel uncomfortable doing so.
Manuela Montañez is a Colombian Photographer, a latin of cold land, based in Bogotá, Colombia.
She graduated Suma Cum Laude in Fall 2015 from The Art Institute of Atlanta with a Bachelors in Fine Arts, winning Best Portfolio in Show, Academic Excellence and Most Contributions to the Department.
Her images can be found on printed magazines like Restaurant Informer, Estela Mag, Stell Mag, VICE, Semana, in online editions of VICE en Español, Have Digital, PhotoVogue, Moob Magazine as well as in the permanent art collection of The Art Institute.
