VSP Consignment
In 2013, Britt Rawlinson recognized an opportunity to shake up the consignment industry and offer luxury goods in a new kind of space. Wanting to breathe fresh life into the re-selling experience, she opened doors to VSP Consignment
a shop that feels more like browsing your stylish best friend’s closet.
Retail is in Rawlinson’s blood, having grown up in her mother’s 10,000 square ft Calgary consignment institution Vespucci. After travelling the world and honing her customer care skills in Vancouver, London & Amsterdam, Rawlinson planted her roots in Toronto with a vision to build and the experience behind her to do it well.
A visit to VSP is like stepping into Rawlinson’s home. On any given day, you’ll find her and her twin sons Max & Ira behind the vast walnut counter or helping clients on the sales floor. Her King Charles Cavalier Ollie is often sunning himself in the window, catching the attention of the Dundas W neighborhood passersby. The team members behind VSP are warm and ready to help you hunt through the racks, of which there are many. In the years since opening, VSP has tripled in size – a response to the growing community they have built.
Clicking through VSPconsignment.com, the range of brands on offer is as broad as what can be found in-store at any given time. Of the moment accessories from Gucci and Celine can be shopped alongside Vetements denim, Dries van Noten silk bombers, Alaia cocktail dresses and vintage Chanel jewelry from Canadian collector Carole Tanenbaum. The assortment is rich and unique, and fun to revisit on a daily basis to see what they’ll get in next. Shop a selection of Britt’s favourites below:
