Where it all started.
A love for sewing and quality fabric is stitched into the very DNA of designer and founder of 7PM Linen Kirin Barr. With a career in the fashion industry most can only dream of, Kirin has had a whirlwind of unique experiences that has taken her to far-flung corners of the globe sourcing fabrics and designing for high end luxury brands.
While only ever dealing with ethical producers, she was nonetheless exposed to the confronting dark side of the fashion industry—workers living in extreme poverty, dangerous working conditions, child labour and the damage that mass consumerism is doing to the environment.
This experience planted the seed for change, vowing to ensure ethical, eco-friendly and sustainable practices in the fashion industry in her future endeavors. Take this commitment and couple it with her love of linen—by its very nature a sustainable and eco-friendly fabric—and her latest project, 7PM Linen was born.
