Brand Identity
Most lounge/leisurewear in America today falls into the
“athleisurewear” category, a sporty aesthetic that is
appropriate for casual wear and running errands, but falls
short on style when meeting friends for lunch or entertaining
at home. It wasn’t designed to take a woman throughout her
day, but—at the moment—it’s the only option.
Designer Sanaz Gera created OYUN because she couldn’t
find a brand in the marketplace that filled her need for
beautiful, well-made, affordable clothing that would take
her through all the stages of her busy day in comfort and
style — from PTA meetings and client lunches to coffee
with friends. Her multi-functional designs, all of which work
as a cohesive collection will be positioned to stand out and
become a go-to brand for a multi-generational market.
OYUN will be fulfilling a direct and largely untapped
market by targeting the customer who is looking for clothes
that make her feel comfortable without compromising fit,
quality, style, or her budget.
With the sophisticated aesthetic
of a European brand and the design sensibility of a
Japanese brand, OYUN can take our customer just about
anywhere she wants to go.
Mission
As a collection of affordable, harmonious, and
impeccably designed knitwear, OYUN seeks to
simplify the process of getting dressed. Every piece
works seamlessly within the collection and can be
worn in a variety of environments — from running
errands to entertaining guests at home.
Our mission is to help women spend more time
enjoying their lives and less time shopping for
clothes, managing their closets and worrying about
what to wear. With timeless styles, the OYUN
woman is free to get on with her beautiful life.
Sanaz Gera Founder and CEO
Sanaz has an extensive background in fashion with more than
20 years as a technical designer for respected labels
including TSE cashmere, Catherine Malandrino, Inhabit,
Trademark, and Adam Lippes. While building technical
design departments for other successful brands, Sanaz was
in a unique position to see what worked, what didn’t, and
perhaps most importantly, what was missing from what many
consider being a saturated market. Her extensive experience,
the depth of her yarn knowledge, and the relationships she’s
built-in her industry gives her a strong foundation to build her
own brand. And her vision — for a well-designed,
impeccably made, luxurious, and affordable collection —
gives her a large, overlooked, and very marketable niche.
